Peoria Academy is currently open with 5-day per week in person instruction and a distance learning option. Our goal is to protect our community while ensuring that the irreplaceable benefits, which in-person education offers, are available for all our students. At the same time, we are providing a fully distanced learning option for those prevented from joining in person.
Our Return to School Committee, made up of faculty, staff, parents, and trustees, worked diligently to develop further information regarding our COVID Protocols. We are keeping the mission and approach that has characterized Peoria Academy since its founding in the forefront of our plans. Please know that the welfare of your children, your family, and our faculty and staff are of the utmost concern to us as we move forward with these plans.
It is our hope that our community remains safe and healthy during this challenging time. We intend to follow the CDC’s guidelines for what to do if a student or faculty member is sick. We appreciate the support and flexibility of our entire community – students, parents, faculty, staff, and Board of Trustees– throughout this season of uncertainty.
A document detailing our protocols and procedures related to our in-person reopening can be found here.
Should we have to suspend on-site learning and return to distance learning we have a plan in place. Our plans for returning to distance learning can be found here.
